Mining Services
LiDAR survey and inspection for underground environments — built for harsh access, vertical shafts and no-entry conditions, with reporting your geotechnical and ventilation teams can act on.
Laserplot understands harsh underground environments — and builds practical, field-ready survey systems and clear reporting outputs for the people who keep mines safe and productive.
What we deliver underground.
Ventilation shaft scanning
Full-profile LiDAR capture of ventilation shafts — bore, ovality and wall condition along the entire depth.
Convergence monitoring
Repeat scans compared over time to track deformation and convergence in drives, shafts and excavations.
Shaft condition assessment
Defects, deviation and structural change identified against the as-scanned geometry for engineering review.
Underground asset inspection
LiDAR and HD video inspection of underground assets where access is tight and entry is restricted.
Automated shaft reporting
Structured reports generated from the point cloud — consistent, repeatable, and built for asset decisions.
Custom deployment systems
Purpose-built rigs for difficult underground environments where standard equipment can't be deployed.
Portable hoisting, engineered in-house.
We manufacture portable hoisting units purpose-built for ventilation shaft scanning — winch-deployed systems that lower live-scanning LiDAR down a shaft and capture a continuous profile without sending anyone below.
The rig pairs a controlled-payout winch with onboard SLAM LiDAR, so depth is tracked against the scan and the full shaft is captured in a single descent. It's built for the field: rugged, transportable, and designed around real site access.
What lands in your report.
- Registered point cloud (full shaft)
- Shaft bore & diameter profile
- Ovality & section deviation
- Convergence comparison (repeat scans)
- Defect & condition flags
- Cross-sections at set intervals
- Annotated HD video inspection
- Structured PDF report & digital record
